A rapidly growing leader in the retail services industry is looking for an Assistant Controller to oversee U.S. and Canadian accounting operations. What You'll Do
* Lead day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes (U.S. & Canada)
* Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies
* Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
* Support audits, SEC reporting, and tax compliance activities
* Manage and mentor a team of 3–4 accounting professionals
* Collaborate across departments to improve systems and processes
What You Bring
* 8–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
* Bachelor's in Accounting + CPA required (MBA is a plus)
* Strong knowledge of GAAP; exposure to revenue, lease, and equity accounting a plus
* Experience with enterprise financial systems (Workday preferred)
* Advanced Excel + strong analytical and communication skills
* Leadership mindset with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
