Our client, a Federal Agency, is looking for a Scrum Master lead - EL1 Level to join their team. The Scrum Master lead - EL1 Level is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the 3Ps functions of the agency. The position is a team membership position within the agency and has a concurrent requirement to resolve issues and risks across a broad range of activities of substantial depth involving significant detail and to provide support to the team leadership of their work area in the planning and coordination of the team.
The Scrum Master lead - EL1 Level will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the agency's objectives.
You will be working full time hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm in Geelong or Richmond with a competitive pay rate of $602.55 + Super per Day.
As a Scrum Master lead - EL1 Level you will be:
- Facilitating multiple scrum teams in an agile project environment.
- Managing project scope, and timeline via sprint and release planning in line with wider organisational commitments.
- Coordinating sprints and retrospective meetings which review the previous sprint and daily scrum stand-ups.
- Supporting the product owners to develop and manage product backlogs, new requests and remove barriers.
- Guiding design teams to higher scrum maturity.
- Helping to build a productive environment where team members have accountability for the product.
- Managing the governance, stage gates and reporting of the project against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.
- Coaching team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
**Required Skills**:
- Skilled at scrum and agile methodologies
- Strong co-ordination and planning skills to support product/project delivery across multiple teams including ability to review and reprioritise, if required
- Ability to adapt swiftly to changing organisational priorities, and team's needs, ability to inspire the same behaviour within the team
- Interpersonal skills to be able to effectively manage and balance the demands of team members and stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, to support reporting
- Teaching and coaching skills to mentor teams in agile/scrum to help build high performing and innovative teams
