Our Exploration team leads a diverse portfolio of near-mine, brownfields, and regional exploration across multiple mineralisation styles and lithologies. Programs span early-stage geochemical sampling to advanced resource definition, with key focus areas including Mount Magnet and the extensive Rebecca-Roe tenements ~150 km east of Kalgoorlie — a highly prospective greenstone belt with strong discovery potential.
The Role
This is a leadership opportunity for a geologist ready to drive discovery. You’ll take ownership of exploration programs from concept to execution, guiding your team in the field while delivering high-impact insights to shape future growth. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions and resource development. You can expect your role to include:
* Lead and coordinate daily exploration activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and team alignment
* Provide leadership, mentoring and oversight of Project and Exploration Geologists and Field teams
* Identify and prioritise exploration targets; design and implement work programs ready for execution
* Track program progress to ensure delivery within approved budgets and timelines
* Interpret geological data and deliver timely, insightful reports to internal stakeholders
* Ensure all exploration activities comply with health, safety, heritage, and tenure obligations
* Maintain tenements in good standing by meeting all statutory and reporting requirements
* Support the Principal Geologist in evaluating new exploration opportunities and strategic growth initiatives
About You
You are a senior geologist with extensive expertise in gold exploration and experience across a range of deposit styles and project stages. You lead with confidence and clarity — managing site activities, mentoring teams, and ensuring compliance with statutory, heritage, and safety obligations. You bring:
* Tertiary degree in Geology, Geological Science, or related field
* Minimum 15 years’ experience in gold exploration across varied deposit styles
* Proven safety leadership and people management skills
* Strong knowledge of WHS, mining, heritage, and tenure legislation
* Advanced proficiency in Micromine and ArcGIS
* Statutory Supervisor qualification (or near completion, including DEMIRS exam)
* Experience managing contractors and leading site activities
* Ability to respond to emergencies and conduct area inspections
* Skilled in target generation, heritage survey planning, and program review
* Strong communication, organisational, and mentoring capabilities
* Current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence
