**Responsibilities**:
- Evaluate patients to determine the need for orthotic or prosthetic devices, and develop treatment plans based on their individual needs and goals.
- Design, fabricate, and fit custom orthotic and prosthetic devices, using a variety of materials and techniques.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and maintenance of orthotic and prosthetic devices, and make adjustments or repairs as needed to ensure optimal function and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper use and care of their orthotic or prosthetic devices, and provide support and guidance throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide coordinated care for patients.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices for orthotic and prosthetic care.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in orthotics and prosthetics, or a related field.
- Licensure as an Orthotist and Prosthetist in the state of practice, and certification by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC) or the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Orthotist and Prosthetist, with a robust understanding of orthotic and prosthetic devices and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for orthotic and prosthetic care.
