Senior Change Manager

Location - Parramatta with flexible work arrangements

Employment type – Temporary full-time role for 6 months with the possibility of an extension

Salary - $129,464.00 pa - $142,665.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

The primary purpose of the Change Manager role is to lead and manage the design and delivery of change, communication and training strategies supporting technology initiatives relating to projects, programs and operational changes.

The role will assist the team in driving operational performance by working collaboratively with the business to identify, plan and implement change, communication, and training solutions.

You'll play a key part in shaping the future of improved service design and our digital ecosystem by contributing to impactful projects that make a difference to Homes NSW customers and staff.

What you'll do

As a Senior Change Manager, you will:

* Develop and implement all aspects of project change and communications, including stakeholder and business impact assessments, internal and external stakeholder engagement, communication, training, support and business readiness to support the required business change.
* Design and document change needs based on current and future state service design, define success measures, measure performance and outcomes against project and business objectives, and ultimately embed the change.
* Engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure each group has their needs incorporated in the change, communication and engagement strategies and plans. These groups include people with lived experience, community groups, other government and non-government agencies, business sponsors, executive and agency operational staff.
* Design and maintain change management documentation including training programs, user guides, online tutorials, change calendars, and facilitate workshops, reference groups and change meetings across a wide range of projects.
* Develop both proactive and responsive internal and external communication strategies, activities and artifacts, which are aligned to business operational priorities and project requirements.
* Identify change risks and issues including recommendations on approaches on how to mitigate risks.
* Champion continuous improvement activities that contribute to the development of change management practice in alignment with business improvement reforms including facilitating lessons learned, project closure and service quality initiatives.
* Mentor project staff in change management methodologies and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of tools, techniques and templates for implementation of change initiatives.

Our work spans:

* Managing housing operational policy, procedure and rent systems.
* Undertaking innovative programs, often with partner agencies, to improve access to housing products and services.
* Managing and enhancing a suite of digital applications including all MyHousing Online Services applications, mobile apps, digital communications, online forms, as well as several business applications that our staff use to help deliver services.
* Maintaining partnerships with a range of external advocacy and human service agencies, as well as suppliers and contracts linked to our digital work program.
* Undertaking innovative projects that embrace emerging technology including AI.
* Driving a continuous improvement program through modern, high-quality policy, process and service system design, that aims to improve the customer experience, make it simpler for people to access housing services and make it easier for staff to do their work.

What we're looking for

In addition to the Essential requirements outlined in the role description, the ideal candidate will have:

* Experience in delivering change management and communications in technology related programs and/or projects
* A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
* Experience in designing creative and effective fit-for-purpose change management and communication artifacts.
* Experience with and knowledge of project and change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
* Understanding of change management theories.
* Qualifications or equivalent senior level knowledge and experience in Change Management and Communications.
* Qualifications in a project methodology or equivalent demonstrated experience
* This role may require participation in an on-call and/or after hours work roster to ensure service continuity to clients or maintenance activities outside normal business hours.
* This role may require short instances of travel within NSW when consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
