About our role
Reporting to the Head of IT Platforms, Systems & Security, this role supports Subco's corporate IT environment across platforms, devices, and security operations. The position focuses on reliable IT service delivery, platform administration, automation of repetitive tasks, and maintaining strong operational documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
* Administer Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams) and support identity, device, and compliance configurations.
* Support Atlassian tools (Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Confluence) including workflows, automations, and integrations.
* Assist with PowerBI workspace administration, data gateway configuration, and dashboard access governance.
* Maintain network services including VLANs, VPN, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and routing.
Security & Compliance
* Perform routine security checks on access, endpoints, and configurations.
* Support ISO27001 and Essential 8 compliance tasks and participate in incident response activities.
IT Asset Management & Device Deployment
* Manage end‑to‑end device lifecycle: procurement, setup, shipping coordination, returns, and asset tracking.
* Maintain accurate ITAM records, standardised device kits, and inventory for compliance and audits.
Automation & Process Improvement
* Identify manual or repetitive tasks and automate using scripting (PowerShell/Python) and available tooling.
* Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles in Confluence.
User Experience & Support
* Deliver responsive, customer‑focused support to users across global and remote teams.
* Manage requests and incidents in Jira Service Management and maintain self‑service knowledge bases.
* Provide IT training and guidance to internal teams as required.
Business Continuity & Operations
* Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
* Conduct regular reviews of equipment, processes, and control effectiveness.
About You
* 3–5+ years in IT Operations or Systems Administration in a corporate environment.
* Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Intune MDM, and Atlassian administration.
* Scripting experience (PowerShell/Python) and familiarity with APIs for automation.
* A proactive self‑starter with a passion for delivering great outcomes.
* Experience with IT Asset Management, identity and access management, and MDM for Windows/macOS/iOS.
* Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (VLANs, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
* Exposure to ISO27001, Essential 8, SIEM/monitoring platforms, or ITIL practices.
* Strong organisation, documentation, and communication skills with a service‑oriented approach and experience working at pace in a scaling organisation.
* Comfortable supporting distributed teams across multiple locations.
