Job Title: Property Maintenance Operative/Handyman
Job Description:
As a skilled Maintenance Operative/Handyman, you will be responsible for carrying out vital maintenance services across our portfolio of properties. You will work as part of the maintenance team to respond to all basic maintenance and repair issues highlighted by the property management department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out multi-disciplined types of maintenance both inside and outside our properties.
2. Completing plumbing tasks, such as unblocking drains/toilets, investigating & stopping leaks.
3. Performing basic electrical checks, replacing light fittings, plugs and fuses, and light bulbs.
4. Decorating, including stain blocking, touching up walls/woodwork, and fencing.
5. Moving heavy items and collecting, transporting, and delivering items as required.
6. Carrying out basic repairs, such as replacing door handles, toilet seats, shower hoses and heads.
7. Clearing roof surfaces and gutters.
8. Cleaning carpets as required.
9. Assessing void flats between tenancies and implementing remedial works to kitchens and bathrooms as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong problem-solving skills, be physically fit, and have excellent communication skills. Experience with plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work would be an advantage.
Benefits:
This is a full-time position working Monday to Thursday 9am-5:30pm and Friday 4:00pm. The salary is competitive and dependent on skills and experience.
