1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)

Schools in Wakefield (WF4) alongside GSL Education are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support for students who need extra guidance to thrive academically and socially.
This 1:1 TA role is perfect for someone who is patient, nurturing, and committed to helping children reach their full potential.
Your Responsibilities as a 1:1 TA:
* Work closely with a designated student to support learning, behaviour, and development
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
* Support students in academic tasks, social interaction, and confidence building
* Provide one-to-one attention tailored to each child's needs
* Liaise with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor progress and adjust support as needed
* Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Who We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
* Professional and reliable attitude
* Ability to support behaviour management positively
* Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
