Team
The Orthotics and Prosthetics team provides services to inpatients and outpatients, including NDIS participants, across Tasmania. Comprised of Orthotists, Prosthetists, technicians and administrative staff, the team is physically located in hubs in the South, North and Northwest of the state, with senior staff at each hub, connected through a shared vision and strategic plan, as well as regular virtual meetings. Services include the Custom Seating and Wheelchair Service (The Seating Clinic), the Tasmanian Artificial Limb Scheme, inpatient neuro and rehab, and outpatient NDIS.
Role
The State Clinical Manager provides state-wide operational and professional leadership, direction and governance for Orthotic and Prosthetic Services. The role is responsible for compliance with organisational policies and quality standards, including NSQHS, NDIS and Aged Care standards, and for provision of a high standard of clinical service to consumers. As a member of the Allied Health leadership team, the State Clinical Manager provides high-level advice and support to the Executive Director and Deputy Director of Allied Health for the effective delivery of OPST service and is an active member of the Allied Health Advisory Committee and the Allied Health Clinical Council.
Qualifications
Extensive clinical practice experience in the provision of orthotic and prosthetic services, and a detailed understanding of health service delivery issues across acute, sub-acute, rehabilitation and outpatient settings.
Proven high-level knowledge and significant experience in people and resource management within orthotic and prosthetic services, including demonstrated capacity to provide professional leadership, vision and contemporary approach.
High-level strategic, conceptual, analytical and creative skills, with the ability to provide advice, contribute to and implement service delivery planning and policy initiatives that ensure effective and efficient consumer-focused service delivery.

Appointment Details
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until the 31 August ****. This position is a statewide position, with applications accepted from South, North & Northwest.
Salary
$149,660 to $151,608 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics or an equivalent tertiary Prosthetic and Orthotic qualification.
Desirable:
Eligibility for membership of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association.
Current Driver's Licence.
Post-graduate qualifications relevant to the role.
