The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Video Conferencing Technical Coordinator to provide a critical role within Corrections Victoria.
About the business unit
The Department of Justice and Community Services (DJCS) delivers high quality services to Victorians and supports a safe, just, innovative and thriving Victoria.
The Video Conferencing Coordination Unit (VCCU) supports the work of the Sentence Management Division within Corrections Victoria and is responsible for the coordination of all video conferences/Audio Visual Links (AVL) where a prisoner is involved, including but not limited to: court appearances (TeleCourt), conferences with legal representatives and court ordered assessments. The VCCU schedule over 100,000 video conferences per year.
About the role
The Video Conferencing Technical Coordinator (VCTC) is responsible for maintaining the operational readiness of the Victorian prison video conferencing network. The VCTC is also responsible for identifying new and evolving technologies and identifying a workflow of introducing these new technologies into the prison video conferencing network.
**Some of the VCTC's duties include**:
- Develop and project manage an extensive video conferencing equipment installation, maintenance & lifecycle program to ensure the system's continued integrity.
- Identify new equipment & technologies ensuring they provide "fit for service" solutions.
- Identify & develop modifications to equipment and system architecture that will result in increased serviceability within the prison environment
- Manage and monitor ongoing operations of video conferencing system administration tools to ensure instances of system failure are identified and rectified in a timely and effective manner.

About you
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Established and specialised technical knowledge of video conferencing systems and equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in the technical use and support of Cisco video conferencing infrastructure systems, including endpoints and enterprise systems.
- Operational experience within the Victorian prison and/or court systems is desirable.
Demonstrated equivalent technology related experience working with relevant Cisco systems is highly desirable.
