About the role
Join a state government decision‑making body supporting matters in the Community stream (Guardianship, Administration and Mental Health). You'll prepare case documentation ("submissions") and coordinate the participation of relevant parties in hearings. While you will explain process and help people navigate applications, you cannot provide legal advice.
Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate, timely submissions and case files
* Coordinate parties' participation in scheduled hearings and manage case communications (phone/email)
* Maintain records in a digital telephony and case management system; manage inboxes and workflow
* Uphold confidentiality and support respectful interactions across complex, often sensitive matters
Success criteria
* High computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and confidence in digital systems; ability to manage a fast‑moving caseload
* Typing speed ~60 wpm with strong accuracy
* Resilience and composure when dealing with conflictual or confronting communications involving vulnerable people, families and services
* Strength in organisation, attention to detail and follow‑through
* Background in government or regulatory administration is advantageous
Pre‑employment requirements
* Current National Police Check (NPC) must be sighted prior to commencement
