The Role

Kempe Hobart is seeking a driven and technically competent Internal / Technical Sales professional to support our growing Fluid Power and Enzed hose service business. This is a pivotal role that involves customer engagement, sales support, coordination of hose and fitting services, and product order processing for a broad range of hydraulic and pneumatic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the internal sales function for fluid power, hose and fittings, and mechanical services.

· Provide prompt and professional responses to customer enquiries on product availability, pricing, repairs, and service work.

· Understand and respond to urgent breakdown situations, providing fast and practical solutions, especially for hose replacements and fluid system faults.

· Coordinate and schedule mobile Enzed technicians for onsite hose and fitting services.

· Process customer purchase orders and raise vendor purchase orders to meet delivery timelines.

· Maintain accurate records of sales activities, quotations, service logs, and customer interactions.

· Engage proactively with repeat and walk-in customers to understand and fulfill their operational needs.

· Support branch inventory and stock management for fluid power components, hoses, and fittings.

· Contribute to business growth through upselling, product knowledge, and customer relationship management.

Skills & Experience

· Experience in technical sales or customer service within a mechanical, industrial, or trade environment.

· Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and hose & fitting products and their applications.

· Previous experience with Enzed or a similar mobile hose repair service is highly desirable.

· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly and confidently under pressure.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· High attention to detail and commitment to transactional accuracy.

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.

· Competent in computer systems (e.g., ERP systems, quoting, and order processing modules).

· Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.

· Willingness to learn new products and technologies.

· Current driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
