Permanent, Full-Time | $81,301.88 - $94,200.62 per annum + 12% superannuation | Hurstville

As the Procurement and Contracts Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Council's Procurement and Finance teams in coordinating procurement and contract activities across the organisation. This position is focused on building strong partnerships and engaging effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth, compliant, and value‑driven procurement processes.

Key Accountabilities Are, But Not Limited To

* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, such as Local Government Procurement and SSROC, to support effective procurement planning and delivery
* Generate and analyse spend reports within the TechOne system to support data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation
* Maintain procurement resources and records, including the contracts register and procurement webpage, to ensure transparency and accessibility
* Prepare procurement documentation, including RFQs, tenders, and other supporting materials to enable smooth and compliant procurement processes
* Facilitate low‑value/low‑risk procurement activities, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders
* Maintain and monitor Council's e‑Procurement platform to ensure it is accurate, current, and functioning effectively

The successful candidate will have

* Strong ability to build positive working relationships with a variety of internal teams and external suppliers
* Understanding of procurement compliance in regulated environments; knowledge of the NSWLocal Government Act 1993 – Section 55and Council procurement policies is an advantage
* High level problem‑solving and analytical skills, with high computer literacy (MS Office) and experience using document or procurement systems (e.g., CM9, TechOne or similar)
