**The Position**
- Position Title: Quality Consultant
- Classification: Dependent on qualifications
- Salary per hour (exc. super): Dependent on qualifications
- Employment Status: Full Time Permanent (76 hours), Part-Time Fixed Term (48 hours)
- Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination
**Role Description**
- As part of Quality and Risk, the Quality Consultant works closely with senior managers and leaders to oversee improvement activities that enhance the safety, quality and experience of care. As part of the Loddon Mallee Health Network, the Quality Consultant may also provide quality improvement leadership and guidance to smaller health services in the region.

**The Team**
- The Clinical Governance Division has a focus on promoting and supporting patient safety and quality of service. It recognises the importance of leadership, culture, patient safety, clinical performance, professionalism and patient care. The Clinical Governance team works collaboratively with other staff to provide high quality clinical governance support and advice, both internally and when supporting our Regional Partner Health Services.

**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : A degree in a health related science or quality improvement
- Essential : Sound knowledge of Accreditation Standards and risk management principles
- Essential : A strong understanding of person centred care and a commitment to patient safety
- Essential : Expertise in quality improvement science
- Essential : Ability to analyse and interpret data from a variety of sources and develop clear reports and plans
- Essential : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Including the ability to engage with staff at all levels with a healthcare organisation.
- Essential : Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and the ability to learn software programs.
- Desirable : Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Desirable : Ability to introduce new concepts through innovation, influencing and negotiating skills
- Desirable : Flexibility to operate in an environment of change and continuous improvement
