With a strong national footprint, operations across multiple states, and ambitious expansion plans, we're seeking a capable and driven Company Accountant to support our growing Finance function.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business across multiple entities and states. You'll contribute to accurate reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, while also helping improve systems and processes as the business continues to scale.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex, multi-entity accounting and get involved in financial modelling and strategic projects—ideal for an ambitious accountant looking to expand their experience in a dynamic, national business.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial reports for all group entities, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and cashflow forecasts Manage month-end close and account reconciliations Support budgeting and forecasting across group entities and cost centres Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions and assist in team coordination Reconcile project costs and assist with job profitability forecasting Assist with financial modelling and data analysis to support growth and investment decisions Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting efficiency Contribute to tender applications and assist with ad hoc financial reporting Maintain high standards of accuracy, accountability, and insight in all financial outputs
What You'll Bring
At least 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role Degree in Accounting or related field CPA or CA qualified (or working towards) preferred Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with Xero Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communicator with strong attention to detail Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Experience in construction, building, or manufacturing sectors (preferred) A proactive team player eager to contribute and grow professionally
