About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced energetic, reliable individual who loves the beekeeping lifestyle. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that involves working outdoors in rural environments, supporting all stages of honey production and hive management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the care and maintenance of beehives across multiple sites
* Participate in honey harvesting, extraction, and processing
* Extraction lifting and pulling honey from hives
* Moving hives around WA to follow the best seasonal honey flows
* Operating and maintaining beekeeping equipment and vehicles
* Delivering bee boxes to and from sites and our processing facility
* Working in both small teams and solo in the field
* Extracting and processing honey in our base factory
* General hive maintenance, feeding, and health inspections
* Maintaining biosecurity and compliance protocols
* Accurately documenting movements, harvests, and hive conditions
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of beekeeping experience
* Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads in all weather conditions
* Self-starter with a strong work ethic and problem-solving attitude
* Comfortable with significant country travel and overnight stays away from home
* Reliable, respectful and able to work well within a small, close-knit team
