Forklift Operator – Avocado Harvest Season
Location: Blackbutt
Duration: 2–3 months (seasonal casual role)
Pay Rate: $31.19 +
Staff360 is seeking motivated candidates to join our client’s avocado operation for the upcoming harvest season. This role offers full-time hours where available across the 2–3 month period, with the possibility of additional farmhand work once the season is completed.
We can also sign off on Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417) days, making this an excellent role for WHV holders.
Position Overview As a Forklift Operator in the pack shed, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of the harvest. Your duties will include:
* Operating forklifts safely to load, move, and stack produce.
* Working in the pack shed to grade, pack, and palletise avocados.
* Supporting broader harvest operations, including picking and general farm duties when required.
* Adhering to strict safety and quality standards at all times.
* Contributing to a reliable, team-oriented working environment.
This role is ideal for applicants who enjoy variety in their work, with the opportunity to gain experience across both shed and orchard operations.
Accommodation & Transport
* No accommodation provided on site. Local caravan parks, motels, pubs, and hostels are available nearby.
* A vehicle and valid driver’s licence are essential.
Requirements
* Current forklift licence.
* Own transport and valid driver’s licence.
* Australian work experience, with two local references.
* Flexibility and willingness to assist in different areas of the harvest.
Pay & Conditions
* $31.19+ per hour
* Seasonal casual employment – hours may vary with crop requirements.
