Why this role matters

The Strength2Strength Program provides a vital, client centred, and trauma‐informed therapeutic response for victim survivors of family violence. Services are delivered through both outreach and centre‐based sessions, ensuring accessibility, safety and meaningful engagement for every client.

About The Role

As a Family Violence Therapist with Strength2Strength, you'll play a key role in supporting individuals and families impacted by family violence. You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering evidence based, trauma informed interventions while contributing to innovative service responses and sector reform.

This max‐term (2 years) part‐time position (30.4 hours per week) contracted until 30 June 2028, is based in Sandringham and Frankston Family Life service centres, VIC. This is a hybrid role involving both outreach and in‐office responsibilities.

Reporting to the Family Life Strength2Strength Team Manager. It's an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of victim‐survivors while growing your clinical expertise within a supportive and mission‐driven environment.

How You Will Make An Impact

* Provide trauma informed therapeutic intervention to victim‐survivors impacted upon by Family Violence.
* Managing a caseload of clients, as well as providing support and assistance to co‐workers on their cases.
* Working flexibly across a range of service delivery sites, including the provision of outreach support to enhance service accessibility.
* Performing other partnership related tasks as required to assist the program in meeting its contractual and compliance obligations.

What You Will Bring

* Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social work and/or equivalent + relevant professional registration and/or equivalent
* Full registration to AHPRA
* Experience delivering therapeutic interventions for victims of Family Violence
* Demonstrated experience in using a variety of evidence-based and trauma-oriented interventions
* Willingness to provide outreach interventions to engage with clients and ensure accessibility
* A valid Employee VIC Working with Children Check
* Current VIC Drivers Licence

Conditions

Compensation is in accordance with Health Professional Award Level 4 however, level is negotiable dependent on qualification.
