Chef Leadership Opportunity
My company is seeking a seasoned Head Chef to spearhead our kitchen operations in Cairns. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for driving excellence, mentoring staff, and showcasing your culinary expertise through innovative menu ideas.
To succeed in this role, you will need to oversee kitchen operations, including designing menus, reviewing inventory, and training staff. You must also ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety, maintaining a clean and functional work environment.
You will be required to prepare and present dishes according to business standards, adhering to portion control and quality guidelines. Additionally, you will need to monitor food consumption and waste control to optimize profit margins.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement new seasonal menu items and suggest commercially viable ideas to improve food quality.
Key Qualifications:
* AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma
* At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
* Full-time working rights in Australia
