About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced full-time Sales Representative to join our Townsville team. Forming a key part of our Sales Team, you will play a key role in achieving our commercial objectives through proactive management of existing customer relationships whilst actively seeking new business opportunities to grow our footprint.

Forming a key part of our Sales Team, you will play a key role in achieving our commercial objectives through proactive management of existing customer relationships whilst actively seeking new business opportunities to grow our footprint.

Key Responsibilities

* Achieve KPI’s through servicing and maintaining an existing customer base, while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

* Present and promote Max Stocks outstanding portfolio of products and special offers.

* Build strong customer relationships, including taking orders and resolving enquiries and issues.

* Stay informed about industry trends and foster a reputation for excellence.

* Work positively and co-operatively as part of a geographically dispersed sales team, and with other key internal stakeholders including customer service and accounts departments.

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

* Previous experience in a sales capacity within the food or FMCG industries.

* Strong commercial judgement and the ability to negotiate and secure profitable sales.

* A positive attitude, great work ethic, and a friendly yet professional approach.

* Strong self-motivation with the ability to effectively manage your time and work autonomously.

* A current C-class Queensland drivers’ licence.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficiency in IT applications including Microsoft Office.

* Professional self-presentation.

* A passion for food and the food service industry.
