Job Description:
As a key member of our catering team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality food and dining experience for our residents. They will support the Chef Manager with kitchen compliance, including food safety and WHS. Additionally, they will be responsible for stock control and ordering, as well as managing resident dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Chef Manager to maintain high standards of food safety and WHS compliance.
* Manage stock levels and place orders as necessary.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
* Monitor kitchen and food costs to ensure efficient use of resources.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve service excellence in all aspects of the dining experience.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
* Qualification in Commercial Cookery (Cert III/IV) and/or relevant experience working as a Cook or currently enrolled.
* Aged Care experience is advantageous but not necessary.
* Understanding of special dietary needs.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Time management and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
