We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Hunter Valley Community Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference in rural health, working collaboratively with a supportive team to deliver high-quality services across diverse settings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outreach services to the Merriwa and Denman Multipurpose Services, providing vital assessment and intervention for adults and children with swallowing and communication disorders. Additionally, they will play a key leadership role, mentoring and supervising team members while contributing to innovative quality improvement projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong clinical skills, initiative, and a client-centred approach. You will also require excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a part-time permanent position, offering a competitive salary package, including up to $10,000 in the first 12 months, plus up to $10,000 each year thereafter, under the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.*
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality speech pathology services to adults and children with swallowing and communication disorders.
* Mentor and supervise team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Contribute to innovative quality improvement projects to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
* Bachelor or postgraduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
* Eligibility to drive in NSW.
