Procurement Category Manager – Production
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Category Manager – Production to join our dynamic procurement team in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiencies through market analysis, tendering, contract negotiation and contract implementation.
* Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, RFQs, commercial negotiations, to secure optimal contract terms and pricing.
* Develop a collaborative partnership with the business to unlock value for stakeholders through all avenues of the sourcing and contract management lifecycle.
* Provision of expert advice and guidance to business stakeholders in contract management matters. Oversee and manage existing supplier relationships, contract performance and compliance, and risk mitigation to ensure high-quality services and value is maintained.
* Drive transformational procurement projects from initiation to completion, to deliver significant business impact.
Requirements
* 5+ years' experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management role(s), with Production, print or manufacturing category experience highly desirable.
* Experienced in strategic sourcing, supplier and contract management with exceptional written and verbal skills.
* Ability to build strong internal and supplier relationships and to work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
* A self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills who has the ability to navigate a complex organisation.
* Highly confident working with contracts - review, drafting and advice with support from senior procurement management and Legal.
* A positive, collaborative, proactive and ethical approach to your work with an ability to challenge the status quo.
* Highly developed commercial acumen with a proven track record of achieving and delivering cost savings and commercial and operational benefits.
* Confident in your ability to manage multiple projects.
* Resilient, flexible and able to work to tight deadlines.
