Job Title: Financial Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Support Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a dynamic global business.

Description:

This role will involve supporting accounts payable and receivable processing, including corporate credit card reconciliations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing account reconciliations, maintaining general ledger integrity, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.

In addition, the successful candidate will assist with accurate coding of expenses, ensure consistent accounting practices across the business, and maintain the company's fixed asset register, accruals, and prepayments.


Key Responsibilities:

* Support accounts payable and receivable processing, including corporate credit card reconciliations.
* Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation and financial reporting.
* Support accurate coding of expenses and ensure consistent accounting practices across the business.
* Maintain the company's fixed asset register, accruals, and prepayments.
* Assist with BAS, PAYG, payroll support, and other statutory obligations.


Requirements:

* Recent experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
* Proficiency in Xero (advantageous but not essential).
* Experience with foreign currency transactions and reconciliations in a multi-entity or global business.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced functions.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across global teams.
