About the Role
The Sales Representative/ Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth within the state by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key customers, and developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, the ability to analyze market trends, and a proven track record in business development and sales. The role will involve managing some of our largest customers in Queensland, predominately in the Mackay mining region with some regional travel required.
Key responsibilities include:
* Create personalised engagement plans that address customer needs and foster long-term loyalty.
* Lead negotiations with key customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached.
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
* Create detailed reports that provide insights into business development efforts, including successes, challenges, and opportunities.
About You
* Automotive/ Truck/ Mining industry knowledge an advantage.
* Ability to travel as required.
* Capable of developing long-term plans and strategies to drive sales growth.
* Proficient in analysing sales data to make informed decisions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction and negotiation with team members and customers.
* Skilled in building and maintaining strong customer relationships with external and internal stakeholders, building positive company culture.
* Mining and Heavy Fleet experience advantageous
