Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery. This includes performing routine inspections, identifying potential issues before they become major problems, and taking corrective action to prevent downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
The Maintenance Mechanic will also be responsible for replacing or repairing parts on machines, including bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches, and other electrical parts and equipment. They will observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble and take corrective action to resolve issues promptly.
Additionally, the Maintenance Mechanic will participate in an on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as needed. They will follow all safety rules and procedures, observing operations to ensure a safe environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
* Full understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
* Prior electrician's license preferred but not mandatory.
