RoadTek Mackay Operations are seeking a high performing and innovative Senior Project Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. In the role of Senior Project Manager, you will program manage the delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects through the provision of technical expertise, project management experience and the administration of contracts to the design, construction and maintenance processes associated with project delivery. In doing this you will ensure effective coordination of key operational activities and resources associated with project management of a program of complex projects.
Some of Your Accountabilities Include
- Use technical knowledge, expertise and leadership to co‑coordinate all relevant activities to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Prepare and manage tenders and estimates to support the business unit in achieving its organisational goals.
- Promote a Project Management culture and manage development and implementation of the total project plan.
- In alliance type projects, contribute to public consultation activities and ensure that effective liaison is undertaken with community, local governments and other major stakeholders.
- Manage supervise and coordinate resource allocation across the program to ensure compliance of projects and encourage effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward organisational objectives.
Mandatory Qualifications And Conditions
- A Washington Accord accredited four‑year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). The employee may be required to mentor and supervise the work of non‑RPEQs.
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's license or equivalent.
- You may be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.
Desirable Requirements
- Diploma in Project Management
- Traffic Management Design capability
- Erosion & Sediment Control Design capability
