An established, purpose driven organisation is seeking an experienced Grants Lead to oversee the delivery and administration of a large scale grants program supporting meaningful economic, social and cultural outcomes across the Northern Territory.
Your new role
Reporting to the Grants Manager, this role is responsible for leading grants workflows, managing a small team of Grants Officers, and ensuring high quality, compliant and timely grant administration. You will play a key role in continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement and system optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading end‐to‐end grants administration, including assessment, agreements, monitoring and reporting
* Operational leadership of a small grants team, managing workloads and providing guidance on complex matters
* Driving process improvement across grants systems and procedures
* Managing and reporting through a grants management system (e.g. SmartyGrants)
* Engaging with stakeholders and supporting grant applicants through the process
* Ensuring compliance with legislative, financial, probity and accountability requirements
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience in grants management and grants administration systems
* Proven people leadership or senior operational oversight experience
* Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Sound judgement when dealing with complex grants and contractual matters
* Understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal communities in the NT
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
