Job Description

This is a pivotal role within our Operations Team responsible for optimising contract formulation, management and compliance.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team in Canberra. This pivotal role involves providing legal advice, managing and administering contracts.

* Ensure all contractual obligations are met, managing changes and resolving disagreements.
* Identify risks and issues, proposing mitigation actions to the Project Manager.
* Provide interpretation and advice on procurement policies, regulations and contract requirements to stakeholders.
* Offer internal guidance on contract obligations, requirements, policies and procedures.
* Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and administration systems.
* Collaborate with Operations, Business Development and Finance to manage program financial arrangements, including milestone payments, cashflow management and escalation provisions.
* Manage health and safety compliance, supply chain assurance and acceptance activities.
* Contribute to bid and proposal activities, including preparing commercial elements and participating in management reviews.


Preferably you bring tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Law, and experience in contract management, supply chain or procurement in contract and supplier management activities.

Additionally, you must have the ability to engage, influence and build strong working relationships to achieve common goals and project objectives.

You should also have expertise in stakeholder and risk/opportunity management.

Strong organisational and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work productively in team and autonomous environments.

If you have knowledge of ASDEFCON procurement and contract methodology it is desirable.
