**The Role**
LNIC falls within the Systems & Integration Branch, and is tasked with the design, test, evaluation, certification and integration of Land Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) capability in support of joint land combat and capability development.

As the LNIC ILS Team Lead, you will set work priorities and manage work-flows for the LNIC ILS Cell (Warehouse Manager, Q-Store CPL, iBMS Log, Facilities).

**About our Team**
The Logistics Manager sits within the Business Management Unit (BMU), which is an enabler to ensure LNICs compliance to Defence procurement, contracting and finance policy, human resources, logistics and provides senior executive advice and guidance on workforce options to achieve business priorities.

Within the Logistics Management function, the Logistics Officer is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex logistics inventory management work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.

The Logistics Officer may be a team coach or lead a team and be accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows. They are expected to be capable of building team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit. They may exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve work unit outcomes.

The Logistics Officer will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholder's needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
- Adequate experience in logistics, stocktaking, stores management and freight movement.
- Experience in setting priorities, supervising staff and external contractors and manage building facilities.

The ability to complete the following courses on commencement of the position:

- Defence Cryptographic Accounting Course.
- Defence Simple Procurement course; and
- The current Defence Materiel Handling system course (MILIS).

This is a full-time role, working business hours from the LNIC facility in Symonston, ACT. Infrequent attendance at local Canberra-based meetings can be expected with infrequent travel within Australia required at times.
