Paying between $63.93-$71.60ph + super Belconnen ACT location with WFH flexibility provided 6-12 month temp contract opportunity
About the Role Our client are a federal government organisation based in Belconnen ACT. They are currently seeking an APS6 Tax Accountant to come in and join their team on a temp contract opportunity for 6-12 months with possible extensions.
Candidates for this role must have: NV1 Security Clearance (Essential) Tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce/Accounting
CA/CPA qualification or similar (Desirable) Key responsibilities will include: Assisting with preparation and lodgement of the departments annual FBT return including:
Benefit data quality assurance, developing and maintaining excel worksheets, and collating supporting documentation Assist with preparation and lodgement of the monthly business activity statement for the department and National Emergency Management Agency and lodgement with the ATO. Research and provided advice on
Goods and Services Tax (GST), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) and detailed analysis of GST transactions. Reconcile tax related general ledger accounts and prepare FBT and GST journals
About You You will be an experienced Tax Accountant with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess: NV1 Security Clearance (Essential) Tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce/Accounting
CA/CPA qualification or similar (Desirable) Strong interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and communication skills What's in it for you?
