We have an exciting opportunity for 4 x Labourer – Parks and 1 x Labourer – Landscape Services to join our team!
What You Will Do:
As a Labourer – Parks / Labourer – Landscape Services, you will play a key role in the upkeep and improvement of landscaped gardens, lawns, public parks, open spaces, and roadside verges. Your day-to-day tasks will include gardening, mowing, snipping, tree maintenance, and operating small plant machinery and vehicles. You will work to a scheduled program, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Your commitment to working in an environmentally sensitive way will help preserve the natural beauty of our community’s green spaces, while your focus on productivity and quality ensures these areas remain welcoming and safe for all visitors. Additionally, you will interact with the public and other Council staff, providing excellent customer service and helping to resolve any issues that arise.
What We Are Looking For:
- Hold a current Queensland Light Rigid (LR) drivers’ licence with the ability to independently drive between business locations to meet operational needs.
- Construction Industry General Safety Induction Qualification (White Card).
- Working in Proximity to Traffic – Awareness Part 1 & Part 2 or ability to obtain.
- Demonstrated ability and a physical capacity to undertake a variety of strenuous labouring tasks in a tropical environment associated with horticultural landscape maintenance activities.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the driving of trucks with trailers, the operation of small plant and the ability to perform associated daily routine servicing and safety checks.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a public environment with an emphasis on communication and providing quality customer service.
