Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to coordinate the biannual STAGGfair —a major community and fundraising event.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning and execution of the STAGGfair event.
* Organize a licensed raffle and secure all necessary permits and approvals.
* Recruit and manage volunteers, class representatives, and stall coordinators.
* Develop and implement a Food Safety Plan in line with Wellington Shire Council requirements.
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to secure sponsorships and coordinate advertising.
* Design the event layout.
* Oversee logistics including set-up, waste management, insurance, first aid, and signage.
* Liaise with internal departments.
* Provide regular updates to Leadership.
* Chair planning meetings with volunteers and staff.
* Manage procurement and maintain a register of supplies and equipment.
* Coordinate entertainment and develop a detailed event program and running sheet.
* Ensure compliance with OHS, Food Safety, WWCC, and Child Safe Standards.
About You:
You are a proactive and detail-oriented organizer with experience in event planning or community engagement.
Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role. A strong understanding of compliance requirements and a passion for community events will set you apart.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills will be critical in delivering a successful event on time and within budget.
