About the Team
The Revenue Management Team ensures accurate and timely billing and revenue collection across the Department of Health. The team manages billable patients, including private, Medicare ineligible and compensable patients, and supports doctor billing under the private practice plan.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑level administrative and financial support to the Team Leader – Revenue.
* Assist with routine financial processes, reporting and revenue‑related activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Support the Private Patient Scheme coordinator with doctor registrations, documentation processing, Medicare and health fund billing, monthly doctor payments, reconciliations and reporting.
* Assist with monitoring of processes and systems, and support debt management activities.
* Respond to stakeholder enquiries, support business units with revenue processes, and participate in team development, training and continuous improvement activities.
* Contribute to team development and continuous improvement efforts.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum (plus the employer’s 12% superannuation contribution). Salary range is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
