The Role The maintenance fitter and turner position will see you play a critical role ensuring any interruptions to production targets are limited. This role will work on a 24/7 rotating roster as part of a larger maintenance team to perform scheduled and breakdown mechanical maintenance, repair and fabrication tasks on a range of factory plant and equipment in a FMCG food manufacturing environment to ensure factory equipment remains reliable, efficient and safe. Duties Undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance tasks on equipment in a FMCG foods manufacturing environment Ensure excellent interpersonal communication with all team members Safely assemble, install, align, repair, fabricate, modify and manufacture machinery and parts using a range of trade workshop tools and equipment Interpret technical drawings and specifications and undertake root cause analysis to apply safe and appropriate maintenance solutions Understand and discuss technical information and problems with a variety of personnel Adhere to all site, company and industry policies and procedures including WHS, always Skills & Experience Must have experience in maintenance fitter and turner role within a similar factory environment (preferably FMCG food, including cold storage) Must have a recognised Australian qualification such as a Cert III Engineering, Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Machinist etc. Must have the ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster. The rotation includes day, afternoons, nights, weekends and overtime Demonstrated ability to prioritize, solve complex technical problems and strong commitment to workplace health and safety Experience with tig welding, hydraulics, pneumatics may be advantageous Working at heights, EWP, forklift, confined spaces, first aid qualifications may be advantageous Benefits Full-time ongoing role Highly experienced and supportive team ongoing training opportunities Competitive pay rate overtime shift allowances About JK Personnel At JK Personnel, we put people first.
