Suncorp Group have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coach to join the Commercial Property Claims team. This role will be responsible for providing technical support, customer and claims coaching to frontline staff.
This role is a full-time contract opportunity until 30th June 2025.
**What you'll do**
- **Mentor and Coach**: Guide and support a cohort of Claims Officers to foster a positive risk culture within the risk governance framework.
- **Escalation Point**: Serve as the primary escalation contact for complex referrals and claims decisions outside of the Commercial Property Claims operational teams.
- **Knowledge Base Expertise**: Ensure advanced knowledge of the Commercial Insurance Knowledge Base and integrate its processes into the coaching of Claims Officers.
- **Quality Assurance and Training**: Assist with quality assurance, identify training needs, and work with leaders to develop and deliver effective training solutions.
- **Data-Driven Improvements**: Use data from complaints and determinations to identify issues, make recommendations for improvements, and support leaders in reducing customer dissatisfaction.
- **Deliver Training**: Conduct training sessions, including onboarding for new recruits, either in-person or through virtual platforms.
**What you'll bring**
- 3-5 years' experience in commercial property claims or a similar field
- 12 months of coaching and mentoring experience
- Advanced knowledge of the end-to-end commercial property claims process and related systems, including indemnity principles and regulations
- Strong focus on positive customer experiences and ethical decision-making
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to gaining new skills
- Ability to role model claims behaviours, coach peers, and communicate excellently in writing
- Understanding of commercial business operations, property repair terminology, and account principles; ANZIIF Certificate III or IV or similar is desirable
