Lecturer - Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation Job No.: 691799 Location: Caulfield campus Employment Type: Full-time Duration: Fixed-term appointment until 31/12/2027 Remuneration : $118,974 - $141,283 pa Level B plus 17% employer superannuation Amplify your impact at a world top 50 University Join our inclusive, collaborative community Be surrounded by extraordinary ideas - and the people who discover them The Opportunity The Lecturer will contribute to undergraduate teaching within the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, with a focus on Jewish history, the Holocaust, the Arab Israeli conflict, Jewish cultural studies and the modern Middle East. The role will support the Jewish Studies and the Holocaust and Genocide Studies minor through the development and delivery of lectures, seminars and tutorials, while also contributing to curriculum development, assessment and subject coordination. The position also involves contributing to research and scholarly activity, supervising and supporting students, and collaborating with colleagues across the Centre. You will participate in academic and administrative service activities that support the teaching and research mission of the Faculty. As the successful candidate, you will bring demonstrated expertise in one or more of these areas, along with a strong commitment to high quality teaching and student engagement. You will have the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and create engaging learning experiences for undergraduate students. You will also demonstrate a developing or established research profile in your field and a collaborative approach to working within an academic environment. Your ability to contribute to teaching, research and service will support the continued growth of the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation.
