Following our merger, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth as a Top 50 ASX listed organisation.
As part of this evolution, we're building a dedicated Commercial Finance portfolio partnering closely with our Marketing and Merchandise teams moving beyond traditional reporting into genuine commercial influence.
This newly created Finance Manager role is a true business partnering opportunity, supporting some of the most commercially critical areas of the business.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you'll partner with senior Merchandise and Marketing leaders to drive insight led decision making, optimise margin and investment outcomes, and lift trading performance. You'll also lead a team and help shape how commercial finance shows up across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with Merchandise and Marketing leaders to interpret trading performance and support commercial decision making
* Lead month end close, reporting and analysis for Merchandise and Marketing portfolios
* Deliver deep financial and commercial insights across sales, margin, volume, pricing, mix and COGS
* Assess promotional effectiveness and marketing return on investment
* Ensure supplier rebates are accurately captured, reported and collected
* Support Buyers on the financial impact of supplier negotiations and promotional activity
* Lead budgeting, forecasting and long range planning for commercial portfolios
* Build and evolve reporting dashboards to provide clear visibility of trading GP
* Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and BI
* Lead, coach and develop a team of Finance Analysts
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* CA / CPA qualification and a tertiary qualification in Finance
* Strong experience in commercial finance or finance business partnering with Marketing and Merchandise (retail, FMCG or wholesale preferred)
* People leadership experience within a matrix or complex organisation
* Advanced Excel skills (Power BI experience is desirable)
* Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management capability
* A proactive, curious and commercially minded approach
