Description
The Restaurant Manager / Assistant Venue Manager role joins a supportive and inclusive environment where you will work alongside a big management team to deliver our customers great memorable experiences. The role will require someone who has proven past experience managing busy all‑day dining restaurants and bars. If you've worked in a restaurant or a busy large venue where your focus was on service at the table then this job is definitely for you. As part of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth food and beverage service is delivered at all times to our customers while on shift. All our positions come with plenty of support and everyone gets trained in all areas of the venue. The role requires operational shift management where experience in leading large teams delivering excellent food & beverage service by example is essential. The full‑time position requires you to be available for a variety of shifts including weekends, opens and closes and you will need to be strong in back‑of‑house processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and presentation throughout the dining areas, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Regularly engaging with guests to assess satisfaction with meals and service, addressing feedback promptly to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising front‑of‑house, fostering a positive and professional workplace culture focused on teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Assisting with guest greetings, table allocations, and occasionally taking orders during peak times to support the team and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Managing team performance and setting shift targets.
- Managing scheduling requirements to ensure adequate coverage across trading periods and events.
Requirements
- A career hospitality professional with a minimum of 2 years in a restaurant manager role.
- Ability to lead a large team and execute against venue standards.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, positive can‑do attitude.
- Team player.
- Have attention to detail when it comes to the customer.
- Solid back‑of‑house processes.
- Systems experience – Pay at table such as Me&U;, Point of Sale, Gift cards.
- Passion for beer.
