Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be tasked with: Financial Accounting: Leading general ledger reconciliations, handling month-end and year-end financial closing processes, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations. Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements while offering insight for better decision-making. Budgeting and Forecasting: Supporting the broader finance team to create and monitor budgets and financial forecasts. Tax Compliance: Managing GST, BAS, and other taxation requirements for the legal practice. Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance financial systems and practices to ensure efficiency and compliance. Key Skills and Attributes Licensure/education in accounting, such as CA or CPA qualification (or near completion). Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within professional services or the legal sector. Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with legal case management software is a bonus.
