Overview
OHM is a locally owned marine business based in Broome, WA, servicing both commercial and recreational vessels. We operate a busy retail shop and workshop, supplying marine electronics, Mercury outboards, boating accessories and marine chandlery. Our team provides installation, servicing and repairs both in the workshop and at remote locations across the Kimberley. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable work and quality service to our customers.
Job Role
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on outboard motors, all brands
* Install and commission new Mercury outboard engines
* Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and carry out repairs
* Install marine electronics and accessories (Simrad, Lowrance, Icom etc)
* Run and waterproof marine wiring and electrical systems
* Carry out 12V / 24V installations including batteries
* Assist with quoting and scheduling jobs
* Liaise with customers & office regarding repairs and installations
Skills & Experience
* Mercury Outboard Technician Certification or willingness to obtain certification
* Minimum 3 years experience as a Marine Mechanic, Outboard Technician or similar trade
* Strong understanding of outboard engine systems and fault finding
* Experience installing marine electronics and electrical systems is highly regarded
* Proficiency with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting mechanical issues
* Ability to work independently and manage jobs from start to finish
* Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Ability to deal with customers
