Parts Assistant

Position Overview:
The Parts Assistant will provide essential support in various operational areas, including routine maintenance, housekeeping, and ensuring compliance with industry and WHS standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is proactive, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work within site Personal Hygiene Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
* Comply with industry standards, WHS regulations, and maintain high personal safety standards.
* Provide general assistance and support to various operational departments.
* Weekend work when required paid at overtime rates
* Assist with routine maintenance, lubrication, and housekeeping tasks.
* Advise on substitution or modification of parts when replacements are unavailable.
* Fill orders, allocate to the correct General Ledger (G.L.) account, and track shipping/delivery.
* Evaluate, quote, and recommend product parts and service pricing, seeking cost-saving opportunities.
* Provide professional customer service at all times.
* Assist and monitor water treatment plant processes.
* Assist in monitoring and managing gas, oils, and chemical levels, ensuring correct storage methods.
* Assist in the monitoring and documentation of blood and pet food collection systems.
* Help maintain a clean and organized premises, ensuring high standards of housekeeping.
* Conduct weekly gas and water meter captures and maintain accurate records.
* Perform daily town runs for parts and gambrels as needed.
* Ensure daily forklift and EWP inspections are completed.
* Assist with arts storage and cataloging.
* Assist in ensuring livestock are properly watered, fed, and that deceased animals are disposed of appropriately.
* Help conduct monthly audits and action any findings.
