The Role
CWW has begun rapidly expanding into the Newcastle region, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Estimator to join our existing local team and assist with driving new business with constant support from the Senior Estimator and Director.
This role will give you exposure to the full project lifecycle, from receiving and managing tender invitations, review of client requirements through project documentation, understanding client expectations through communicating with their site team, conducting cost analysis to ensure accurate tender submission, follow up with key personnel post-award and project delivery.
The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to fast-track their career within a rapidly growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the preparation of tenders, contracts, and other construction-related documentation.
* Measuring drawings and compiling trade specific Bills of Quantities to ensure our team has the most accurate information for tender submission.
* Conduct detailed reviews of project specific Scope of Works and ensure accuracy with our tender submission
* Conduct regular market research to gain an understanding of material costs, labour costs, equipment hire and the latest waterproofing systems.
* Follow up with prospective clientele post-tender submission and maintain communication until award.
* Gain practical experience in construction site procedures and processes.
* Collaborate with experienced professionals to learn about the industry.
* Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
What we are looking for:
* A Degree or Diploma within the Building and Construction industry.
* 5 years experience working as a Estimator in commercial/residential construction. (preferred)
* High computer literacy with the ability to read and interpret drawings proficiently.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction.
* Developing strong organisational and project management skills.
* Passion for the construction industry and a willingness to learn.
* Waterproofing or remedial construction experience is desirable.
