The Opportunity As Executive Officer, you’ll be at the heart of CIT’s strategic leadership, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and executive teams. You’ll coordinate governance, business continuity, risk management, and government reporting, while driving business improvements and supporting the delivery of our ambitious 10-Year Strategic Plan. This fast-paced leadership role requires someone who can energise teams, influence outcomes, and thrive under pressure. Key Responsibilities Lead governance, ministerial, budget, and reporting processes for the Chief Executive Office. Undertake research, interpret policy, and prepare high-level submissions and communications. Identify and implement business improvement initiatives. Lead and contribute to strategic projects. Mentor and guide the Executive support network. Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Operate within financial delegations and manage budgets. Eligibility/Other requirements: Experience in ACT Public Service, Australian Public Service, or the education sector (highly desirable). Knowledge of records management systems (e.g., Content Manager) and data/performance measurement. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in business administration (desirable). Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
