The Role — Urgent Care Nurse or Paramedic
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Urgent Care Nurse or Paramedic to join our Batemans Bay clinic. As a vital member of the multi‐disciplinary team, you will triage, assess and provide frontline care to all patients presenting to urgent care in collaboration with skilled urgent care medical practitioners.
Your Responsibilities
* Responsible for triage of all patients who present to urgent care
* Conduct comprehensive and accurate assessment
* Act promptly for any triaged patients requiring immediate emergency care on arrival or due to deterioration
* Perform procedural work such as suturing and plastering
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic urgent care environment
* Deliver high‐quality, person‐centred care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and medical practitioners
* Ensure patients achieve desired clinical outcomes
* Provide essential health education to patients
* Complete all documentation accurately and promptly

About You
* AHPRA registered nurse or paramedic
* Must provide a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check
* At least one year of triage experience in an emergency, remote or urgent care setting preferred
* Preferably five years of post‐graduate experience
* Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and to escalate appropriately
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and high level of critical thinking
* A capacity for independent work and delegation when necessary
* A personable approach and passion for helping others
