Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team, focusing on delivering a diverse range of projects, including minor capital works, refurbishments, and critical infrastructure projects. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Management Team to oversee and coordinate the management, design, and construction of both fit-out and new-build projects.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end project management services, ensuring successful delivery from project inception through to completion.
Major Responsibilities
* Project Delivery:
* Lead and manage the delivery of construction projects across various sectors, including federal and state governments, commercial, health, education, and more.
* Oversee all stages of project delivery, including scope definition and analysis, design management, tendering, property acquisition, construction, variations, program of works, and project handover.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
* Run project team meetings and build and maintain diverse, collaborative relationships with partnered design consultants, head contractors, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and lead the organisation on new projects in alignment with the business plan and Evolve FM's strategic vision.
* Strategic Initiatives:
* Identify strategic partnerships and actively engage with industry stakeholders and networks to uncover emerging opportunities.
* Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
* Manage Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) obligations on projects, ensuring compliance and promoting the “Evolve FM Safety First” culture.
* Exceed HSE and welfare obligations to foster a safe and supportive work environment for all team members and contractors.
* Collaboration and Leadership:
* Engage with multidisciplinary teams to drive project success, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines.
* Actively contribute to the growth of the organisation by identifying new opportunities and developing innovative solutions.
* Maintain a clear understanding of the Evolve FM’s Integrated Management System (IMS) Management manual and ensure all duties are performed in accordance with its policies, procedures and guidelines.
This role requires a professional with proven experience in delivering projects across diverse sectors and environments. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, the ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to maintaining safety, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Experiance
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within construction and/or property management. Also, Federal Government experience is desirable.
* Proven experience delivering government projects (highly regarded)
* Demonstrated experience across construction, fit-out, and refurbishment projects
* Experience in estimating and cost planning
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, design management, and contract administration
* Experience managing project cost, programme, and reporting
* Understanding of security-zoned environments (desirable)
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reporting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
* Excellent communication and reporting capability
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
* High level of organisation and attention to detail
* Must hold Australian Citizenship (mandatory requirement)
* Possess a valid driver’s licence with the ability to travel to project sites as required
* Hold an existing AGSVA security clearance or demonstrate the ability to obtain one within the required time frame.
