Job Opportunity: Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist to work with vulnerable children, young people, and their families. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by Aboriginal communities and be able to work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children, or young people.
The role involves collaborating with other agencies and engaging in complex problem-solving to assist families in setting goals that meet their needs, addressing safety and wellbeing concerns, and providing support through home visits. You will also develop safety plans and conduct risk assessments, manage cases, and participate in court processes.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent verbal and written communication skills, a valid driver's license, and a current Working with Children clearance. Documented verification of Aboriginality is also required, confirming your Aboriginal descent and self-identification as an Aboriginal person.

Key Responsibilities:
* Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children, or young people.

Requirements:
* A relevant diploma or degree is preferred. Applicants without formal qualifications require at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build positive relationships.
* A valid driver's license.
* A current Working with Children clearance.
* Documented verification of Aboriginality, confirming your Aboriginal descent and self-identification as an Aboriginal person.
