Your New Role
You'll be reporting to the group finance manager (AKA Manager, Management Accounting) and have a dotted line into the business unit GM. With the company expanding so quickly, the time has come for a completely dedicated finance resource for a new division. With revenues already at $100m and growing rapidly, now is the time to bring in a senior management accountant to set up monthly reporting, provide dedicated financial analysis and decision support to the GM and operational management, and be the bridge between finance and operations. Following the group template for other divisions, you'll be setting up your division for success, and also have a hand in designing custom reports, analysis, dashboards for your business unit. This will be a stand‐alone role, though potentially become a leadership role as the division continues to grow.
Your Profile
You enjoy bringing order from chaos, setting up new processes, systems, procedures and building from scratch. Not interested in routine, you prefer project‐based work where you have to work out the way forward from your own lived experience of best practice. Whilst you certainly know a debit from a credit, you are much more forward‐looking, analytical, and embrace new technologies to build the finance function of the future. You enjoy providing decision support and having a seat at the table, rather than reactively keeping score (leave that to the financial accountants). There is support, but it is even better if you are a self‐starter who can work autonomously to get things set up, easing the load on your superiors.
