Restaurant Manager: The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for the successful leadership of our hotel outlets. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Director, the Restaurant Manager will work in conjunction with all Food & Beverage leadership to ensure the success of the department.
Responsibilities
* Actively participate in the ongoing development and growth of all outlets at OBBH.
* Assist Director of Food & Beverage with day-to-day operational management of all hotel outlets.
* Ensure all operational standards and internal policies are kept up to date at all times.
* Ensure annual goals relating to service standards are met.
* Work as backup management support to other food and beverage areas of Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
* Ensure monthly financial projections and results are accurate and on target.
* Provide input and recommendations to Director of Food & Beverage on menu development, wine cellar program and special events.
* Ensure effective communication between all areas of the Food & Beverage Division and other departments within the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
* Motivate, encourage and engage team members to consistently deliver on our Core Values.
* Oversee the health, safety and security of both guests and employees.
* Oversee scheduling for the outlets.
* Oversee daily gratuity distribution and daily labour approvals.
* Conduct regular performance reviews with the front of house teams.
* Evening and weekend work is required.
* All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* 3-5 years of proven experience in a management role within Food & Beverage.
* Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, practices, and techniques.
* Proven ability to examine and re‐engineer food & beverage operations, form new policies, and develop and implement new strategies.
* Proven creativity in food and beverage menu development and offerings.
* Sincere customer focus and true appreciation for hospitality.
* Sommelier Diploma from an accredited institution preferred.
* Proven knowledge of cost analysis, financial, inventory, and yield management, and budgeting.
* Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team, including coaching and mentoring.

Job Type
Full‐time. Pay: $70,000.00‐$75,000.00 per year.
