Overview

This is a founding Head of Content position at Innovize - a rare opportunity to build and own an entire business function from the ground up. You won't be inheriting systems or optimising existing processes; you'll be the architect of Innovize's complete content operation. This role demands someone who sees content not only as a creative service, but as a strategic business driver that directly impacts revenue, client retention, and market positioning.

You'll wear three hats simultaneously: strategist (defining what we create and why), creator (producing exceptional work across multiple formats), and educator (transforming how clients understand and leverage content). We need someone who can think at the executive level or has a desire to progress to that stage, while remaining deeply hands-on with creation and client relationships.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
* Build from zero: Design and implement Innovize's complete content infrastructure across all channels, social media, email marketing, PR, and partnership collaborations.
* Drive business strategy: Position content as a core business driver, not just a marketing activity.
* Define our voice: Establish and evolve Innovize's brand positioning, messaging, and content strategy that resonates with our target audience.
* Think ahead: Develop content roadmaps that align with business objectives and market opportunities.
* Oversee client portfolio: Manage a pipeline of existing clients, ensuring their content needs are met on time and exceed expectations
* Coordinate deliverables: Balance multiple client accounts simultaneously, prioritizing based on deadlines, impact, and strategic importance
* Maintain client relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for content strategy and execution, building trust and long-term partnerships
* Manage production workflows: Create and optimize systems to efficiently handle client requests, revisions, and approvals without sacrificing quality
* Scale client services: Develop repeatable processes that allow us to serve more clients without compromising on personalized attention
* Forecast capacity: Assess bandwidth and resource needs as client load grows, making recommendations for team expansion
Content Creation & Execution
* Create multi-format content: Produce high-performing content across video, static design, and written formats.
* Write compelling copy: Craft messaging that converts, engages, and builds brand authority.
* Design visual content: Create and oversee the creation of scroll-stopping visual assets.
* Maintain quality: Ensure every piece of content meets high standards and serves a strategic purpose.
* Teach content mastery: Guide clients through the nuances of what makes content actually work.
* Provide strategic consultation: Help clients understand content as a business investment, not an expense.
* Transform mindsets: Change how our clients think about and approach their own content strategies.
Systems & Growth
* Build scalable processes: Create frameworks and workflows that can grow with the business
* Establish metrics: Define KPIs and measurement systems to prove content ROI
* Stay ahead: Monitor trends, platform changes, and emerging content formats to keep our strategies cutting-edge
Qualifications

Core Experience & Skills

* Minimum 3 years content creation and brand management experience
* Must have proficient skills in video editing - CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.
* Must have design and brand creative experience - Canva and Figma are a must
* Previously managed complete brand identities from strategy through execution
* Proven track record writing high-converting copy across multiple formats (social, email, landing pages, thought leadership)
* Portfolio demonstrating range across video, static design, and written content with measurable results
Strategic & Business Acumen
* Experience building content operations or functions from scratch (not just executing within existing systems)
* Demonstrated ability to connect content metrics to business outcomes - you speak fluently about ROI, conversion, and pipeline impact
* Background managing multiple client accounts or projects simultaneously with competing priorities and tight deadlines
* Experience creating scalable workflows, SOPs, and production systems that enable growth
* Comfortable with ambiguity and building the plane while flying it - you don\'t need a playbook to reference
Client Management & Communication
* Strong client-facing skills with experience managing strategic relationships, not just task execution
* Proven ability to educate and consult with clients, shifting their perspective on content value
* Experience managing client expectations, feedback loops, and revision processes efficiently
* Track record of client retention and account growth through exceptional delivery and strategic guidance
